The 2012 Karrinyup Cup and Club Dinner was held on Saturday 28 July. A field of 98 in the morning was followed by a full 144 in the afternoon with conditions nearly perfect for golf. As is condition of winning the Karrinyup Cup you need to be present at dinner to win the event and therefore Greg Pearce’s morning round of 71 (below left with Captain John Hanly) was good enough to hang on for the trophy. Over 180 people were in attendance at dinner being lead into the dining room by John Hill for the 26th consecutive year. John was later presented with his tie celebrating 50 years of membership by President Chris Carey. A great night was had by all in attendance who enjoyed a delicious meal, some fine wine and plenty of fellowship.
