The Lake Working Group and General Committee advise that at a meeting held on site between the club, the appointed contractor and representatives from Water Corporation permission was given to the club to commence a package of works on the lake. The package includes dewatering the smaller pond to the south, creating spillways and clay lining part of the bank of the larger pond to the north with the clay already on site. This initial package is a more economic approach and will provide much of the intended outcome from the project. The club is still committed to sourcing suitable and affordable clay material to line the larger pond if and when it becomes available.
