Seniors Morning Tea

50 senior men attended the Senior’s Morning Tea this morning in the Club’s Main Bar.  Aimed at current and past members who are 75 years and over, this was the 2nd time we have run this event.  It is all about getting together those long-standing members who may not be able to play golf anymore or visit the Club on a regular basis.

President Chris Carey welcomed the group of Seniors whose combined ages totalled 3915 years and combined years of service totalling 1931.  We were also lucky enough to have 3 of our 5 “50 years of Service” members in attendance and as they were unable to attend the Club Dinner this weekend, the President presented each of them with their 50 Years of Service Tie. Each of the 3, Paul Bennett, Don Braddock and John Graham, responded with some great speeches including plenty of history.

All in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the get together and a few stories were shared amongst each other.  We hope to run this event on a regular basis.
