The slope handicap system will come into effect in January 2014. Under this system each member will be issued a Golf Australia (GA) handicap. This handicap will be altered according to the slope rating of the course you are playing – in most cases this adjustment will be handled by the computer systems. Another change is that a Daily Scratch Rating (DSR) will be calculated for each competition round as opposed to playing against the same course rating no matter what the conditions. Further information on how these changes will affect you will be circulated towards the end of the year.
