We are delighted and proud to inform members of an Award that our Course Superintendent Trevor Strachan was presented with on Friday evening. Committee and senior staff attended the Annual WA Golf Industry Gala Dinner at Crown on 21st February. This event is all about uniting the WA golfing community and recognising people and Golf Clubs within the industry that have excelled over the past 12 montns.
Trevor was presented with the Western Australian Golf Industry Recognition Award which recognises his contribution to the “Game of Golf” in WA and Australia. Trevor’s wife and family were all present at the dinner and he walked on to the stage after Brett Rumford to a loud applause and cheering. Trevor made a very humbled speech and held his award with pride. Congratulations from all of us Trevor.
Other nominees on the evening were Dr John Taylor who we nominated as Volunteer of the Year, Trevor for Course Superintendent of the Year and Nick d’Voine for Outstanding Game Development. Well done to John and Nick.
With over 450 people from the industry in attendance at the awards night, we were very proud of Trevor, John and Nick.
