The 2014 Stirling Bowl was hosted by Lake Karrinyup on Sunday 23 February.
This event brings together Lake Karrinyup with Mt Lawley and WA golf clubs and players enjoy a very social day full of camaraderie. The format is individual par with the best 21 scores out of the 27 members in each team counting towards the team score. Each 3 ball consists of one member from each club. This is one event where the home team generally tastes success – usually winning in a canter form the other two clubs. This year however Lake Karrinyup fielded a very generous side who all tried hard to give the other clubs a chance but still managing to sneak the win by a couple of points. Final scores were LKCC -71, WAGC -73 and MLGC -78. Geoff Motteram and President Chris Carey were the best of the home side with scores of +1 while 2 illustrious figures, being the Captain and General Manager, fought it out for the NAGA with scores of -9.
