The Paul Arnold Trophy was played on Saturday the 27th of June and is the major Saturday Morning Trophy of the year, this trophy is annually contested amongst the Saturday morning ‘ball in’ group.
The Trophy was named after member Paul Arnold who was a popular member amongst the regular Saturday morning players in the 1960’s and 70’s. The trophy is awarded to the player best Nett score in the AM field, a condition of winning the event is that the player must be in attendance at the Saturday Morning and North Course players lunch.
The field was well populated this year and included a number of the committee members who were also in attendance at the lunch. The camaraderie between the members was on show during this lunch with many laughs being had and stories shared. This year’s Paul Arnold Trophy was won by Brad Hillary who had an impressive nett score of 69.
