On Sunday 6th December, the Club held its annual Children’s Christmas Party. Thank you to Sally Meadows and the Social Committee for putting together a wonderful event. Thanks to Sally also for putting together the story below ….
Merry Christmas Everyone and a BIG thank you to all who helped, supported & enjoyed our biggest Annual Children’s Christmas Party EVER. This year was my 15th year of planning this party, inspired by the birth of my nephew Seb. We had over 400 guests … from Newborns to Great Grandparents !!!
I need to say a big thank you to Ainslie Cartwright and Grant Bird that have been helping for many, many years. To all the wonderful….”A” team of staff…that did a mammoth job of taking care of everyone. I can’t name everyone….but you are all superstars to me!!! To all the wonderful volunteers who helped you all enjoy the day…… THANKYOU !!
I know Narelle our ‘World Champion” Balloon artist is such a favourite……I got her to replicate herself a few years ago…training up her husband…and this year she brought her daughter…trained up to triple herself….and I know not everyone gets a balloon but I hope there is enjoyment from watching her work her magic. Our Ponies, Old MacDonalds Farm, Bouncy things, The LKCC Express Train, NEW Bowling Elves, Fishing games,Mini Golf, Pavement Chalk drawing, Bubbles, Reindeer beanbag toss,Book Corner and our NEW Sand Art Craft & Party food ….seemed to bring smiles and joy!! And the amazing support for this year’s charity St Vincent de Paul…with record donations!!! The Coffee Staff where working at ultimate capacity…Yay for Sunday Morning Coffee!!! And the Grand finale….Brian Bult with his beautiful Red 1950’s Jag…Bringing along Santa…and Mini Cooper “Prancer” Bringing Mrs Claus ,to create even more smiles and joy to end a great Day. Thank you to all those that offered to help pack things away….it’s the first time I’ve made it inside to the gift giving !!!
