On Saturday 12th March, Lake Karrinyup Country Club’s season was opened with the annual Locksley Hall Trophy contested between 66 Mixed pairings.
An enjoyable day was had by all with the official welcome presented by Vice President Con Barron and presentations by Captain David Anderson. The eventual, very popular winners were Greg Witherow and newly appointed General Committee member Veronica Ntoumenopoulos on a fantastic nett score of 68.875 off a handicap of 4.125. Closely followed in second place were Steve Pasio & Margaret Ireland on a very handy nett score of 70.875 and in third Greg & Julie Baker on 71.5 nett.
Following the presentations all moved into the dining room for a dinner filled with great food, live entertainment and a lot of fun to begin the golfing season in style.
