Dawson’s highlight of the round came on the par-3 17th hole, hitting a superb tee shot to two feet to set up a birdie.
“I’m very happy with the result — it was quite tough out there today and quite windy with the easterly blowing,” said Dawson.
“I struggled with the par fives but between myself, Janine and Alison we all had a good match.”
“The second round I played much better. I hit my greens and got up and down when I didn’t. Today my putting wasn’t flash but I got there and hit some pretty good shots to make up for it.”
