Another fantastic Charity Day today enjoyed by 187 golfers and 92 bridge ladies, members and their guests.
We had amazing stalls organised by our ladies: Craft – Sally Meadows, Bottle Stall – Jane Abbott, Lucky Dip – Liz Caren ,
Raffles – Cheryl Miller, Jam & Preserves – Mary Townsend, Cakes – Viv Overton, Jeanie Whittaker in the country Kitchen and Chris Evans with the bridge,. Last, but definitely not least a huge thankyou to the amazing Sue Law Charity Day convenor for such a well organised event.
With so many people to thank I must include the gentlemen that helped with the betting holes and parking and the young elite golfers on the buy a drive (amazing drives!).
The golf was Canadian Foursomes with the winners on the main course Leigh Paki from Mandurah and Bernie Caffrey (WAGC) with a great score of 42. We also had a hole in one by one of our visitors for Collier Pines on the 12th hole Cassie Edmans for Collier Pines.

Congratulations to LKCC’s Jill Clarke and Judy O’Rourke winning on the North course with a score of 40.

Charity Day report from Sue Law
The support of all Club members, along with that of our other sponsors and donors, enabled us to raise over $30,000. That is a very satisfying total and validates the hard work of our many lady members who sewed, knitted, cooked, sought sponsorship and raffle prizes and otherwise gave of their time so generously in the months leading up to the main event. On the day, we had 180 ladies playing golf and 92 playing bridge, and since they all sat down to lunch at the same time it was a sterling effort on the part of our Club staff to cater for them all in both our formal dining room and the Club’s bistro. As always, the craft, home-made cakes and preserves and wonderful raffles were keenly sought out by our many visitors and the beautiful sunny day added to the very happy atmosphere round the Clubhouse.
A huge thank you to the wonderful charity day committee who worked so hard and encouraged so may members to participate. Also thanks to all the LKCC staff who were so patient and willing to help out wherever they could and whenever they were asked
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL
