The Saturday morning players enjoyed a fantastic meal in the Bistro on the 25th June after enduring wet and blustery conditions on the course. This is an annual event where the player with the best score (and is in attendance for the lunch) wins the prestigious Paul Arnold trophy. The day has evolved into a celebration of the good spirit and camaraderie associated with the “Ball-in” event and this years luncheon was no exception. There was a strong attendance by the morning players who were joined by Committee members John Hanly, Con Barron, David Anderson, Jules Harris and also Damon Lonnie & Graham Warburton. It was great to see past member George Lemon and past winner of the trophy Rob Gavin join the players for lunch. The weather conditions made good scoring very difficult for some golfers but seemed to have no impact on Nick Croston who was able to compile a very good score of 71 (Nett) on the day.
Another fantastic day at LKCC with a magnificent menu and copious drinks served by the the wonderful staff.
