With a very heavy down pour just before tee off it was looking doubtful if the day would go ahead. But in true LKCC spirit 124 ladies took to the main course and 20 to the north course and after 9 holes the rain eased. The afternoon field got the best of the conditions but the winners with a fabulous score of 37 were from the morning field, congratulations to Jane Robinson and Annette O’Brien-Oxley. The runners up on the main course with a score of 36 Di Gillard and Jan King. The North Course winners were new members Jen Rewell and Suzanne Sullivan with a great score of 38 in their first ever foursomes event. Click here for the full results

After a wet and cold day, 116 ladies enjoyed a delightful novel inspired 3 course dinner, with some fun entertainment thanks to Dilys Hughes and Shelia Klimczyk, Jayne MItchell, Lyn Salter and Philippa Clarke. The theme of the evening was come as your favourite novel or character from a famous novel. The committee decorated the tables with various authors/books as themes, a few very cryptic clues on the tables that the ladies needed to work out for their table quiz. A fantastic evening had by all and finished off on the dance floor with some strong vocals by Jodie Benney.
