A full house of Members and their guests enjoyed a fabulous Sunday afternoon of Jazz, Cabaret style in the main bar all set up with cosy couches, tables for 2 and groups of friends.
They were entertained by the ” METRO BIG BAND – a 17 piece band of professionals, WAAPA graduates and students as well as passionate performers, featuring our very own Annelise Freind on keyboards. With 3 amazing vocalists the toes and fingers were tapping and hands were clapping to a great selection of modern Jazz of all the well known stars. The nibbles & wine were flowing and by the end of the afternoon the dance floor was full of all generations.
It was a great afternoon and calls for next year’s event were talked about. Well done to the Social Committee, the food & beverage team and everyone involved in making the day the success that it was.
