Jennifer Herbst represented WA in the Australian Schoolgirls Championships in Adelaide in August. Rounds of 85 and 81 gave her equal 10th. In the match play she won 2 and lost 2. WA finished 4th.
To all Lake Karrinyup Country Club Ladies,
I would like to thank you all so much for you continuous support with not only my golf but all junior girls golf. Thank you for all the funds to help me be able to represent Lake Karrinyup and Western Australia this year with the State School Sport Western Australian Girls Golf. We played in Adelaide and against all states such as Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Australian Capital Territory. I was able to form great friendships with many girls from the other states and hopefully get the chance to play with them again soon.
WA had a great team of 6 this year with 3 new girls joining the team. We finished 4th with New South Wales taking the trophy home. We played for a total of 4 days, 36 holes each day, on South Lakes Golf club, McCracken Golf club and Victor Harbor. The first day we played 18 holes of stroke play and the other 4 days we played matchplay against all the other states.
I absolutely loved travelling with all the girls and am very thankful for the opportunity to go and I really do appreciate everything that you have done to help me to be able to experience this. I hope i get the opportunity to represent Lake Karrinyup again and play for Western Australia.
Kind Regards,
Jennifer Herbst
