The 2016 Veterans and Seniors trophy was once again played on Saturday the 24th September with a field of 198 members competing.
The afternoon players enjoyed the traditional lunch prior to golf in the dining room where those members who have recently joined the veteran ranks got the opportunity to the register as a veteran via the Club’s register book, a tradition dating back to 1959.
The Veterans and Senior Trophy is awarded to the lowest par score of any Veteran/Senior golfer (55 years +) in the club. This year the perpetual trophy was won by Veteran golfer Greg J Baker on a great score of +4. The leading senior was Baxter Hook on +3 with Greg Hortle posting a round of +5 to win the Non-veteran section.
