2016 KRAK Cup @ LKCC

The annual KRAK Cup took place at LKCC commencing on Friday 11th November with a welcome dinner in the Bistro.

3 teams of 13 take part in this event every year and the host club is alternated.  Kingston Heath and Royal Adelaide visited us with their respective teams of club officials and the General Managers.  Saturday saw the two opposing teams back here for dinner in the Grill/Terrace area and an afternoon of 4BBB Matchplay golf.  Lake Karrinyup were well  up after round 1 and everyone attended evening presentations after which time they boarded a bus to Fraser’s Restaurant for a dinner overlooking our beautiful city.  Round 2 commenced early on Sunday with breakfast in the sunshine on the Terrace and another morning of matchplay golf.  After golf, everyone enjoyed a luncheon in the dining room and the President of last year’s KRAK Cup Winning Team, Royal Adelaide’s Tim Evan’s presented our President John Hanly with the trophy after we took out a convincing win with 9.5 points.  RAGC came 2nd with 4.5 points and KHGC came 3rd with 4 points.

3 event founders of the KRAK Cup (which incidentally had it’s 10th anniversary this year) were present for this year’s event … Mr John Hopkins (LKCC), Mr David Cherry (Vice President RAGC) and Graeme John (Past Captain KRGC).

Lake Karrinyup were very proud to host this event and our visitors were once again impressed with our venue, our course, the food & beverage and all of the staff at LKCC.

Many thanks to all of those involved in the organisation leading up to and during this event.
