Royal Perth Golf Club Visit

A beautiful day greeted all attending the annual men’s “Dixie Clement Putter” played between Lake Karrinyup Country Club & Royal Perth Golf Club at RPGC on Sunday 9th April.

The first Match being held in July 1936 with Lake Karrinyup having won 39 times, Royal Perth 35 and only once resulting in a tied match, this Match has continued with the honours usually going to the host club.

As always the hospitality provided by Royal Perth Golf Club was fantastic and enjoyed by all in attendance and some great golf was played in the Four Ball Par format concluding with a historic result. After some triple checking of the results, RPGC Captain Craig Walker announced the 2017 match as only the second tie in the history of the event with both finishing with 11 Wins and 2 Halved matches. Vice-Captain Ralph Gibson and the team from Lake Karrinyup Country Club will proudly retain the Dixie Clement Putter in our LKCC trophy cabinet for another year as the previous winners of the event in 2016.
