What a great day it turned out to be on Sunday 29th October for the 2017 Champagne Golf event, held on the North course which overall played well for most.
The weather cleared up nicely and everyone enjoyed a great breakfast spread with a wee sip of champagne and orange to start the day. There were a few formalities and rules to go over then an interesting Q & A before the shotgun start. The drinks cart was kept very busy and this we think elevated some rather colourful strokes and the cheering as few eagles were apparently dropped. The 6 ball Ambrose event always works brilliantly and our guests and the novists can enjoy this great club and relax with the 9 hole event. Just brilliant after 19 years of this event to see some children joining in and having fun with family and friends.
The biggest ever field for the event of 78 then all enjoyed the casual presentations around the courtyard, with the Campbell and Kirkham Group taking out the championship. Congratulations and we all look forward to seeing you back next year.
