The LKCC Championship & Handicap Foursomes was played on Sunday the 12th of November with this year’s event having 28 pairs competing over 36 holes of alternate shot golf.
The day began with the traditional Breakfast where players were treated to a hot and cold buffet breakfast together with the famous “Goon Juice” an important aspect to get through a long 36 hole day.
The winners of the Championship were the ever constant John Wallace & Peter Robinson who composed 2 consecutive rounds of 74 off the stick for a 148 total two shots clear of Runners Up Scott Langford & Jon Clancy on 150 with rounds of 73,77.
The Handicap division was won this year by John Pember & Cameron Peacock putting together an unbelievable afternoon round of Nett 62.5 following a morning score of Nett 76.5 (obviously the wine at lunch helped) for total of 139. John & Cameron were 4 shots clear of Handicap runners up Cam Gillard & Scott Davison on nett 143. A fantastic day was had by all and some very weary bodies following a cruelling 36 holes of golf.
