Yet another highly successful social event took place on New Year’s Eve at the Club with 165 members and their guests joining in the Palm Beach themed night.
The courtyard was transformed into a tropical oasis with a hint of Miami Vice, tutti fruiti and the odd flamingo thrown in for a bit of colour and became a place where fun, friends, flamingos and festivities came together.
Perth’s best DJ, Bronia returned after becoming a fan favourite from last years event. She spun a sensational mix of tunes including Latino along with all the old school classics and your favourite chart toppers. The dancefloor was the place to be and every single person was up dancing as the clock struck midnight. With a glass of bubbles in hand it was the perfect way to ring in the New Year!
Chef Dean Williams and his team cooked up scrumptious fiesta of food in the pop-up outdoor kitchen. From a sensational Seafood Selection to Creole Gumbo, Mac n Cheese and Pulled Pork Cuban sandwich followed by Churros and Key Lime Pies.
Everyone got into the swing of things with the “touch of tropical” themed dress code.
A very big thank you to Social Committee member Tarn Hede and her helpers for the hard work they put in leading up to the event – very much appreciated. Thanks also to the LKCC staff for their preparation in the lead-up and during the night as well. What a great way to see in what we hope will be a great year ahead in 2018. Happy New Year!
