In late 2017 the General Committee met with experienced facilitator Tony Sernack to review the current Strategic Plan. It became evident early on in the process that a new plan should be created which reflected the current membership and the direction that Members and the Committee felt the Club should be moving. At the conclusion of that session a draft plan was formulated with members being invited to participate in a group session with Tony so that strategies could be bounced off members and their own views and comments made, considered and applied to the final plan.
After several months of hard work the plan has been finalized and is available for your information. A soft copy can be found on our website (click here) or alternatively, hard copies can be collected from reception.
The plan, titled “Strategic Direction, 2018-23” has a very clear Goal, that is to be “Western Australia’s most respected and valued golf club membership”. The plan has a series of Focus Areas and Key Strategies. Management has formulated a measurable Action Plan to ensure the Club maintains its focus on these strategies so that the goal can be achieved.
The plan clearly has more of a member focus with emphasis on enjoyment, service standards, an outstanding golf experience and strong governance.
