The 2018 Veterans and Seniors Trophy was played on Saturday 15th September with a field of 186 members competing.
The afternoon players enjoyed the traditional lunch prior to golf in the Dining Room where those members who have recently joined the veteran ranks got the opportunity to register as a veteran at the cost of 3 guineas (which has been converted to today’s fee of $6.30) via the Club’s register book, a tradition dating back to 1959.
The Veterans and Senior Trophy is awarded to the lowest par score of any Veteran/Senior golfer (55 years +) in the club. This year the perpetual trophy was won by Veteran golfer Frank Di Nardo on a great score of +7. The leading senior was Bill Rock on +6 with Stephen Moloney posting a round of +5 to win the Non-Veteran division.
