The Captains prize for Captain Ralph Gibson attracted a great field of 256 members on Saturday the 11th May all attempting to take out the this prestigious LKCC event.
The day’s best score was posted in the afternoon by Nick Holliday with a fantastic score of +8, three shots clear of David Sceales on a great score of +5 and followed by Darren Staunton & Andrew Sanders on +4. Congratulations Nick!
The traditional Captains address from our Captain Ralph Gibson and matching toast by Mr Greg Baker were as expected, received with great applause acknowledging Ralph’s extraordinary contribution to LKCC over many years. The equally important past Captains of our club, together with LKCC members that have served as Captains of any golf club, were called upon and recognized by the members for their contributions also.
After 2 renditions of ‘For he’s a Jolly Good Fellow’ and toasts to match, it’s safe to say the members in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the end of a wonderful Captains Prize for 2019.
