Sunday 21st July saw 102 members play in the Jubilee Foursomes for the Karrinyup Jug. The day commenced with breakfast in the members bar featuring the ever popular “Paxton Punch”, players then headed out to play in the 36 hole foursomes stroke event.
At the completion of the morning round, half way leaders were Gavin Steinberg & Stewart Higgins with a very impressive score of Nett 63, followed closely behind by Ian Campbell & Haydn Crystal with a Nett 66.5.
Previously winning the event in 1992 then again in 2017, the formidable team of Ian Campbell & Haydn Crystal were able to follow up their morning round with an afternoon score of Nett 69.5 taking out the 2019 Karrinyup Jug with a total score of 136. Runner’s Up with a total score of 142 were Howard Cearns and Al Donald.
Congratulations to all players taking part in the event, it was pleasing to see so many players participating in this annual event. Special congratulations to third time winner’s Ian & Haydn.
