90 members and their guests enjoyed to wonderful day at the Club on Sunday 22nd November. A delicious champagne breakfast greeted guests poolside and after a briefing by Ainslie Cartwright, everyone headed out to the North Course for the 9 hole shotgun start – teams of 6 playing an Ambrose format. Kennedy was kept busy driving around the North Course numerous times in the drinks cart and everyone made the most of the cold refreshments.
Following a fun round with plenty of laughs and cheers, everyone congregated in the courtyard for presentations. Receiving the “encouragement award” were Ainslie & Shane Cartwright, Sally Meadows, Maryanne Larsen and Rob & Lyn Meadows. Third placegetters were Mark & Jo Wiseman, Gav and Nat Beckman and Peter & Dan Clarkson. The runners up in 2nd position were Lyn & Dan Ward, Louis Jago, Lydia Ward, Jordan Wright and Daniel Johanson. And the winning team of the day was David Pringle’s team – David, Anne Richards, Steven Richards, Erin Berger, Peter Harries and Mary Dawson. Nearest the pin prizes were awarded to Julie Burgess’ guest, Judy Pemberton and Darren Staunton. This year, due to record numbers, there were two novelty holes. Hit The Target on the Range was won by Andy Griffiths and there were 5 winners of the novelty putting challenge – Toni Tomlin-Waller, Robyn Twentyman, Shane Cartwright, Jake Taylor and Ian Wilson.
A great day was had by all in attendance and a big thank you to our Ainslie, Toni, Sally and Maryanne from our Social Committee for helping to arrange this popular event.
