Lake Karrinyup hosted the Stirling Bowl on Monday 11 October 2021.
The annual event contested between female members’ of Lake Karrinyup, Mount Lawley and the Western Australian Golf Club rotates each year amongst the three clubs. 27 female members’ from each club play a PAR competition, with the best 21 scores counting towards the team’s total.
First played for in 1973, Lake Karrinyup is the most successful team in this competition, who had won this event a total of 18 times (WAGC 16 and Mount Lawley 14).
Conditions were wet and blustery, however, that didn’t stop Julia Griffiths, Susan Teo and Philippa Clark from posting a great score of 1up each.
Following golf, all participants enjoyed a lovely two course meal in the Bistro. They were joined for lunch by the Mayor of Stirling, Cr Mark Irwin who was on hand to present the Stirling Bowl trophy to the winning club.
