On “Easter Monday” the 10th April, the 2023 Easter Cup was played and a new initiative for 2023 with both Male and Female members playing for a members only event. Playing Individual Par, 109 members participated with a shotgun start at 7:45am.
Great weather conditions allowed 17 players to have a score of (square) or better and leading the Female Members with a score of (+2) was Barbara Marinovich and Cath Witherow, Cath also secured the Female best gross. Some good scores from the male members to mention, Devesh Sheth scored (+4) landing him in 3rd position and one stroke better on (+5) was Chris King – securing outright 2nd place and taking home a $75 golf shop voucher. Peter Robinson achieved the best gross for the Men.
The day belonged to Phillip Keenan, with a fantastic score of (+7), Phil’s scorecard had an unbelievable 9 pluses in total a truly spectacular day on the course. Well Done, Phil!
Following play, all participants enjoyed an Easter inspired buffet lunch followed by presentations delivered by Club Captain Stephen Moloney. A fantastic edition to a new event on the LKCC calendar and congratulations to all involved
