Hosted by our Club Captain, Stephen Moloney, Members were treated to perfect autumn weather on Saturday the 17th May 2025.
The day marked the first Men’s Major for the year – the 2025 Captain’s Trophy.
This year’s event saw a field at 87% capacity taking to the course in great spirits.
The man who took out the Trophy of choice, a fine new Titleist Linkslegend Bag was Paul Baker (+6), edging out runners up Jason Corbett & Tom Perrott (+5).
Paul had the pleasure of playing alongside Club Captain Steve Moloney, and the pair shared a fantastic day both on the course and following their round.
Adding to the Moloney family celebrations, Steve’s son, Finn Moloney, took out the competition on the North Course.
The day was also marked by a touching tribute to the late Ian Dorrington, former Vice Captain, whose legacy continues to be felt across the club. Steve Moloney honored Ian’s contribution to the club, and his memory was warmly acknowledged during the presentations – a reminder of the enduring spirit and fellowship that defines our club & community.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, supporters, and organisers who made the day such a success goes out from Steve.
The combination of fine weather, outstanding golf, and heartfelt moments made it a truly memorable occasion.
