On “Easter Monday” the 21st April, the 2025 Easter Cup was played for the third year in a row with both Male and Female members playing in the Members only event. This year we also welcomed the North Course Waitlist Members to compete.
Playing Individual Par, 88 members took to the course for a 7:45am shotgun start.
Near perfect weather conditions allowed 12 players to have a score of Square or better.
Sandra King dominated the 5th and 12th holes, winning both NTPs, and the Men’s NTPs were shared by Tej Mehta on the 8th and Matthew Allen on the 17th.
The Best of the Rest were the Members with scores of +4 and +3. Specifically, the group of Mark Holland (+4), Martine Keenan (+3) and Phillip Keenan (+3) each did their very best to take home the win, Phillip especially, who was looking to add to his 2023 Easter Cup win. Andrew Morris also earned an honourable mention on +3.
Tej Mehta and Hal Mulder both “wasted” a shot on the 15th, eagling the hole for just a single + on the card.
Mark Holland secured outright 2nd place and taking home a $75 Golf Shop voucher with his score of +4.
Other prize recipients included Tej Mehta, who achieved the best gross for the men with a score of +2 off a handicap of 3 and Georgie Wynne, securing the Female best gross with her score of -1 off a handicap of 13.
The whole day belonged to Sandra King, with a fantastic score of (+7) blitzing last year’s winning score of +3. Sandra’s scorecard had an unbelievable 10 pluses in total, combining for a truly spectacular day on the course. Well Done, Sandra on taking home the Easter Chocolates!
Following play, all participants enjoyed an Easter inspired buffet lunch followed by presentations delivered by Club Vice Captain Garry Kurtz.
