Hosted by our Club President, Ralph Gibson, Members were treated to perfect winter weather on Saturday the 28th June 2025. The cool, crisp morning made way for a top of 20°C and gentle winds.
The day marked the second Men’s Major for the year – the 2025 President’s Trophy.
This year’s event saw 237 men taking to the course to compete for the second allocation of points towards the 2025 LKCC Medal.
The man who took out the Trophy of choice, a beautiful framed photograph of a sunrise over the 2nd hole was Craig Williams (+6), edging out runners up Rob Morrison & Jeff Skinner (+5). Rob also took out the gross prize for the day.
The highlight of Craig’s acceptance speech included his long drive down the 10th hole, which he achieved with his putter!
The day was also marked by a heartfelt tribute to Ralph, whose enduring contribution to the Club was warmly acknowledged. Following the reading of his impact and service, members raised a toast in his honour – a moment that was clearly cherished by all and a fitting reflection of the respect and affection held for him within our Club.
A sincere thank you to all participants, supporters, and organisers who made the day such a success goes out from Ralph.
The combination of fine weather, outstanding golf, and heartfelt moments made it a truly memorable occasion.
