Last Thursday, 31st July, our Women’s Jubilee Foursomes launched into another galaxy with this year’s brilliant theme: A Journey Into Space. The Dining Room was transformed into a cosmic wonderland thanks to the creativity and dedication of the Women’s Committee and their fantastic helpers. From stormtrooper balloons to Buzz Lightyear, fog machines, nebula-inspired lights, and even a full lunar lander – the room was truly out of this world.
The effort that went into the setup was only matched by the enthusiasm of those attending. Everyone embraced the theme with star-studded flair (pun fully intended), arriving in an array of interstellar-inspired costumes. From Star Wars and Star Trek to aliens, Miss Universe, and even the City of Lights – a nod to Perth’s shining tribute in the 1960s when an astronaut passed overhead – the imagination on display was next level. Our very own Women’s President made a memorable appearance as Yoda, and the fun didn’t stop there.
Before the galactic festivities took off, players competed in a round of foursomes stableford across both the Main and North Courses.
