The annual Committee vs Juniors match was played on Saturday 29 November, run in conjunction with the daily Individual Stableford competition.
As always, the day delivered a great mix of friendly rivalry, impressive scoring, and plenty of support for our junior program.
The event takes the top 70% of the team as an aggregate total to crown the annual winners, with the losing team captain presenting the trophy to the winning team captain.
Junior Captain Krishav Sheth led the way for the Juniors in his last year of junior membership – having the team’s top score of the day from his side (35 points), continuing his strong year of performances.
For the Committee team, Colin Thorniley stepped in as a late call-up and made the most of the opportunity, finishing as the leading Committee scorer (39 points).
The final result remained tight throughout the round, with Golf Shop staff unable to predict a clear winner! In the end, the Committee edged out the Juniors by just two points, finishing 231 to 229.
A special mention goes to Club Captain Garry Kurtz, who backed up after a morning round on the North Course. Although his score didn’t factor into the team total, he still managed to collect his second win as Club Captain.
