The 2025 Mixed Christmas Cup was held on Saturday, 6th December, with a festive field enjoying the popular Mixed Canadian Foursomes Stableford format in slightly windy, but otherwise beautiful 27° C Day. The afternoon moved at nice pace of 4 hours, creating an enjoyable lead-in to the evening’s Christmas Banquet.
Taking out the NTPs were Jane Abbott on Hole 5, Travis Temm on Hole 8, Lucy Gent on Hole 12 & Wayne Goldspink on Hole 17.
The women took it upon themselves to sink the putts, with all four longest putts going to the women! The long putters were Amanda Lekias on Hole 4, Julie Cawthray on Hole 9, Dorothy Ambler on Hole 11 & Nicole Atkinson on Hole 16. Well done, ladies!
At the halfway point of the results rolling in, Chip Cavaiola & Felicity Peters took the clubhouse lead of 36 points, but once it was all said and done, they had dropped to second place.
It was Jane Abbott & Michael Bruce that took out the honours, with an outstanding score of 38 points (bettering their winning score of 37 last year).
This marks the second year in a row that Jane and Michael have won the event! Well done!
Following presentations, the players enjoyed a delicious Christmas Menu and shared in plenty of cheer!
