On Saturday, March 7, 2026, we hosted the prestigious Locksley Hall Trophy, a tradition dating back to 1930. This mixed event serves as LKCC’s Season Opener, making us one, if not the only Club in the country to start our season this way—bringing together Members of all backgrounds for a day of spirited competition.
Under duress of temperatures that eclipsed 37 degrees Celsius, that participants certainly enjoyed the arrival of the Freo Doctor and the two activations out on course that included magnificent Serafino wines and the friendly presence of Sam Musca.
Canadian Foursomes a well-loved game of strategy and laughter, particularly when you put your playing partner in a spot of bother. Taking home the silverware where Elliot Mitchell and Wendy Naude (Handicap of 12.75), with an outrageously good score of nett 68.25, which was attributed to having fun, good banter and wonderful refreshment throughout the day. Finishing in the runner up position were Phil and Martine Keenan (Handicap of 13.5) with a great score of nett 70.5.
Best gross score was achieved by Garry Kurtz and Hannah Mitchell with 80 off the stick.
The true highlight of the day was the camaraderie which makes Lake Karrinyup such a special place.
An enormous thank you to Christian, Casey and Gio’s fantastic teams for putting on an incredible post-round meal.
The Locksley Hall Trophy continues to prove why it remains a cherished fixture on the LKCC calendar, setting the tone for another great year of golf ahead.
