The annual men’s Caulfield Cup Calcutta event took place on Friday 16th October with 110 members and their guests present.
A delicious 3 course meal prepared by chef Dean and his team was enjoyed by all in attendance and some lovely red wines were flowing. A highlight of the evening is the Phantom Race Call with a fun-tote in action. Those present placed their bets with Matt and Robyn then then well known race caller Darren McCauley called a fabulous and entertaining phantom race and then bets were paid out to those lucky punters whose horses came in!
Another highlight of the evening is the drawing of the horses followed by the auctioning of these horses. Rick Hart took the helm this year and some fierce bidding took place with some very lucky recipients of a few dollars when the actual race was run on Saturday afternoon.
