A fantastic start to the 2016 season with amazing scores in the 2016 Ladies Daisy Savage Opening Day
158 ladies played on the Main course 18 Holes 4BBB and a great number of 42 on the North Course 14 Holes 4BBB
The Winners on the Main Course with a SUPER score of 52 Maddi Baxter (Vice Captain) and Rebecca McGinn
Their playing partners gave them a fight for the trophy, runners up Amanda Lekias and Jill Dorrington with 50points.
The North Course winners with a score of 36 was Pat Stapledon (1st time in her 53years at the Club) and Louise Dickson.
Runners up on a count back of a count back Norma Clarke and Margot De Burgh.
Past Presidents, Committee members and Ladies’ Convenors and Golf Management were invited to the halfway house prior to presentations
as a sign of appreciation by the ladies. President John Hanly addressed the ladies presenting the Members Trophy for 2016, congratulating
Di Tomlin on her award of life time membership at GolWA, making not of the importance of the ladies achievements with representations on the committee and voting rights, and a special presentation from the club to Sharon Dawson for her recent accomplishments winning the Australian and New Zealand Senior match play tournaments.
A great day of golf was followed by a delicious dinner in the dining room with a surprise table set up for the ladies…
