On Saturday 19th April the Men’s golf season began with the annual Chalice Pairs contested by 242 members throughout the morning and afternoon fields.
With an incredible score of +13 in the 4BBB Par format, the eventual winners were Michael Perrott & Tim Gattorna two shots clear of tied runners up Peter Fitzpatrick & Bruce Shortland–Jones and Frank Di Nardo & John Wallace on +11.
Another highlight of the day was an exciting Hole In One by Graham Miller on the 17th Hole in the morning field. This was Graham’s first at Lake Karrinyup and was celebrated with the traditional ”shout of the bar“ at the lunch to follow.
Vice President Con Barron & Captain David Anderson opened the golfing season by addressing both AM & PM lunch attendees wishing all players the very best for the upcoming 2016 season.
