REGIONAL SENIORS EVENT AT MANJIMUP GOLF CLUB- by Lyn Meadows
Last weekend 9 of our more “Senior” members travelled to Manjimup for Golf WA’s Regional Seniors Event.
We all found the course quite difficult, especially on and around the greens; hence our scores were not very good. Trish Hoile shone on the first day with a winning 37 points. Maxine Waller and Jane Abbott were also winners in the Raffle stakes. Despite the golf we had a good time, catching up with “Old” friends and in particular Irene Lewis. Irene is very well and happy, and sends her best wishes to all at Karrinyup.
The dinner was excellent and we were very lucky to be entertained by the International Group “KISS”. (Boy did that bring back memories!)
Most of us stayed at the Diamond Forest Farm Stay, where we were able to go back to our childhood and feed the animals. Next year we are (God willing!) going to Kalgoorlie on the train – Toot! Toot!
