The Winter Wonderland Gala Ball took place at the Club on Saturday 11th June with 160 members and their guests coming along for yet another fantastic social event at the club. President John Hanly and Ladies’ President Rosemary Fowler greeted everyone as they arrived and they made their way down the White Carpet for French champagne and canapés on a very mild evening in the courtyard.
The dining room was transformed into a winter wonderland with some incredible decorations along with some very effective lighting outside in the courtyard and entrance too.
The night was full of surprises with a horse and carriage arriving during the evening, proceeding to take people for a ride around the wonderland. The Monte Carlo themed casino in the bistro was a big hit with many gamblers frequently the tables for a big part of the evening. The digestifs were extremely popular also! Chef Dean and his team served up an amazing 3 course meal and Romana and her team graciously served everyone throughout the evening. Top 20 Australian Idol finalist, the delightful Chelsea Gibson entertained throughout the evening and the fire pit in the courtyard was a huge success with marshmallows being toasted well into the early morning.
Tony O’Shea was the lucky winner of the door prize which was a luxury weekend escape for two to Cape Mentelle Margaret River.
