Brett Rumford wins WS6 2017 Tournament – Event Updates and Photos

Congratulations to WA’s very own Brett Rumford on winning the 2017 World Super 6 Perth tournament.  Brett Rumford has won the inaugural ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.

Rumford defeated Phachara Khongwatmai in the final round of match play at Lake Karrinyup Country Club today.

It was an excellent week for Rumford who led from round one firing rounds of 66, 65, 68 and defeated Hideto Tanihara, Wade Ormsby and Adam Bland on his way to the final round.

This becomes Rumford’s sixth win in a European Tour sanctioned event and his second in the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia

For his win he collected AUD$277,770 the winner’s share of the AUD$1,750,000 up for grabs. This shoots him to the top of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasian Order of Merit early in the season.

Adam Bland defeated Jason Scrivener in the playoff for 3rd and 4th position.
