The Captains prize for Captain John Wallace attracted a great field on Saturday the 10th of June with 213 members teeing it up in an attempt to take out the prize.
The day’s best score was posted in the afternoon with 4 players finishing on a score of +5 with eventual very popular winner Patrick Berney winning the competition on a countback from Steve Seward, Mick Malone & Paul Simpson .
Todd Gault had the shot of the day as he sent his tee shot on the par 3 8th in the hole for his first hole in one. This is only the 3rd hole in one in the past 5 years on this very difficult hole, a fantastic achievement by Todd.
Following the days play the past Captains of the club who were in attendance were called upon and recognized by the members for their contributions to the club as was current Captain John Wallace who was pleased to receive his Captains Tie in his first year of Captaincy. Past Captain David Anderson was presented with his past Captains tie by President John Hanly.
