On Saturday the 30th of June 2018 the Lake Karrinyup Country Club held its 90th Anniversary dinner. 165 members attended this prestigious event held in the Main Dining Room. The room was transformed into an elegant vision, all styled in club colours for the special occasion. Keeping with the significance of the event, the tables were named after a prominent original member of Lake Karrinyup with a little spiel of each member featured on the tables.
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with a glass of champagne, canapés and freshly shucked oysters served by Chef Dean at our Oyster Bar.
After a historical welcome speech from President Con Barron, a magnificent 3 course meal was served up by Chef Dean and his team with a delightful dessert buffet set in the Mackenzie Russell Room. The evening was finished with a glass of port for everyone – an old tradition of the club that re-emerged for the night as part of the celebration.
Past President’s were called upon to join Con, as were our current and past Ladies’ Presidents who were present, along with head professional Graham Warburton.
The lovely Ezereve graced members with some acoustic tunes from the 1920’s as they arrived and throughout the dinner. Following them, the wonderful Groove Night Avenue picked up the pace and got everyone on the dance floor with a variety of new and old hits.
