The 71st Club Breakfast took place on Sunday 7th October commencing with a delicious hot and cold breakfast including the traditional smoked kippers, deviled kidneys and the famous “Paxton Punch”. 44 members took place in the 9 hole mixed medley modified ambrose.
A wonderful morning was had by all on the front 9 holes of the main course with the eventual winners being a family affair consisting of Mike Hodge, Helen Nairn and Chris & Emily Hodge with a nett score of 28.75. They won on a countback to Mike & Josephine Jones, Russell Gordon and Vicki Krause. 3rd place went to Brian Sierakowski, Karie Liggins, Glenn Bond and Sandy Spence; the 4th placed team of Cam & Erin Gillard and Hal & Jane Mulder with 5th place winners James & Shirene Paxton, Rose Millmore and Merry Harrison.
And of course let’s not forget the “encouragement award” that went to Jack Oswald, Sally Meadows and Rob & Lyn Meadows. Emily Hodge and John Day were the lucky recipients of a bottle of wine each for getting nearest to the pin.
