Another very successful Charity Day was held on Thursday 13th June thanks to a lovely team of ladies from Lake Karrinyup, ably headed up by Sue Law.
The courtyard was set-up with stalls including the Craft, Sock, Wine, Jams & Preserves, Cakes and Lucky Dips stalls, along with plenty of Raffles for everyone to enter. The ladies took over the Grill kitchen for the morning, serving a variety of hot and cold delicacies for morning tea.
The main course was choc-o-block full with 140 ladies (including visitors from other clubs) and 20 ladies were out playing on the North Course. Bridge took place in the morning as well with over 80 ladies taking part. A fabulous lunch was enjoyed by 247 ladies at which time the raffles were drawn and sponsors were thanked. Winners of the golf event were also presented with their prizes – Wendy Holtom & Sue Sadler (from Scarborough LGC) with Runners-up Rosemary Fowler & Robin Lamb on the main course; and Diane Pepper & Dianne Rowles on the North Course.
Approximately $31,000 was raised on the day however final details of this will be announced shortly. In the meantime, a big thank you to all of the ladies who contributed to making this day such a success, the gentlemen who assisted in the carpark and on the course, all of our generous sponsors and donors & of course the very helpful staff at Lake Karrinyup. Well done to Sue Law for co-ordinating another fabulous and successful Charity Day.
