On Wednesday 3rd July, the Xanadu Wine Degustation took place in the Bistro with 45 members and guests in attendance.
The delightful 4 course menu prepared by our Executive Chef Dean was perfectly matched with 8 Xanadu wines throughout the night which fortunately included the Jimmy Watson Award Winning Wine, the 2016 Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Wine Maker from Xanadu Wines in Margaret River, Mr Brendan Carr joined our Sommelier Darry to discuss the fine wines perfectly matched to the menu.
Course One – Truffled Eggs with Toast – Yarrabank 2013 Cuvee
Course Two – Char Grilled Prawn, Smoked Tomato, Avocado, Burnt Lime Dressing – Xanadu 2017 DJL Chardonnay – Xanadu 2017 Premium Chardonnay – Xanadu 2017 Reserve Chardonnay
Course Three – Lamb Rack, Braised Shoulder, Potato Rosti, Plum Jus – Xanadu 2014 Premium Cabernet Sauvignon – Xanadu 2015 Premium Cabernet Sauvignon – Xanadu 2016 Premium Cabernet Sauvignon – Xanadu 2017 Premium Cabernet Sauvignon
Course Four – Dark Chocolate Torte, Raspberry, Pistachio.
