The 2012 Club Championships came to a conclusion on Sunday, 26 August with John Wallace claiming his first Championship title defeating Paul Hazell in the final. Youngster Kiran Dayawala was victorious in the plate over John Scully.
In the other divisions David Anderson lead Stephen Brooke all day to win the A Grade while Phil Mulcahy survived a late charge from Richard Pawluck to win the B Grade. Tony O’Dea staged a comeback over the final 9 holes to beat John Andretich for the C Grade title. David Bignold won his second Short Course title defeating Reece Lawrence.
The Lake Cup qualifying rounds experienced two polar opposites in weather conditions with sunshine for Round 1 followed by winds and heavy rain in Round 2. Junior Daniel Moore scooped the pool winning the Lake Cup with a fantastic score of 142 and also claimed the title of number one qualifier and leading junior.
