On Saturday 14th March the Men’s golfing season began with the annual Chalice Pairs contested by 244 members throughout the morning and afternoon fields.
With an fantastic score of +11 in the 4BBB Par format, the well deserved and popular winners were Paul Simpson and Craig Wynne one shot clear of runners up Rod & David Evans and Wayne Goldspink & Danny Psaros both on +10. 33 pairs were placed with pairs needing +6 to earn a ball each. Nearest the Pins were won by Neil Bonser (5th), Joe O’Dea (8th), Peter Webse (12th) and Chee Mok (17th).
President Graeme Pepper & Captain Ralph Gibson opened the golfing season by addressing both AM & PM lunch attendances wishing all players the very best for the upcoming 2020 season.
