Restrictions Easing from 12.01am Tuesday 6th July
We are pleased to advise that as previously indicated, the State Government has today announced an easing of the Covid Restrictions that were imposed from 12.01am last Saturday.
Effective from tomorrow the following will apply:
- Masks will no longer be required when outside where social distancing can be maintained however masks must still be worn indoors unless eating or drinking.
- Clubhouse capacity will increase to 150 meaning the Grill and Bar will open and provide a broader service offering. Please note that this limit of 150 includes the Courtyard area.
- Members and guests can be served at the Bar (i.e., the need to be seated to be served will be removed).
The above changes will take effect from tomorrow and we appreciate your cooperation while we ensure the Club remains compliant within the new restrictions.
Kind regards,
Damon Lonnie – General Manager.
Lockdown lifted from 12.01am Saturday 3rd July
Interim Restrictions
This afternoon, Premier Mark McGowan advised Western Australians of an end to the lockdown effective from midnight tonight however, there will be some restrictions which will be in place for the next three days, Saturday to Monday inclusive.
Please read the following interim restrictions which will be in operation until 12.01am Tuesday morning.
Golf Courses
Both the Main and North Courses will reopen tomorrow with the timesheets remaining as per the website. That is, a one tee start on the North Course on Saturday as well as two shotgun starts on the Main Course. The President’s Trophy will proceed tomorrow without a presentation which will be done at a later time.
The normal timesheets for Sunday and Monday will remain in place.
Practice Facilities
All practice facilities will open tomorrow as per normal arrangements.
Golf Carts
It is our understanding that golf carts can be shared however, masks must be worn at all times.
Golf Shop
The Golf Shop will operate normal trading hours but with a limit of 20 people allowed in the Golf Shop at any one time. We ask that you cooperate with our team members if this capacity is reached.
For those playing golf tomorrow, please note that all players will be pre-registered to limit large gatherings in the Golf Shop and MiScore will be the preferred scoring method. If scorecards are required, please see the team in the Golf Shop.
Hospitality
Due to the limit of 20 patrons indoors imposed as part of the first stage of the eased transitional restrictions, a decision has been taken not to open the Bar/Lounge however, members may enter the Grill to purchase a hot or cold “grab and go” item and order a coffee. It is essential that members depart once they have received these items. Should the Grill reach capacity, members and guests will be requested to wait outside for their order.
The Courtyard Bar will be open from 11am for members to purchase take-away drinks which must be consumed off premise or on-course. It is important that members note that, due to the difficulty in managing patron numbers in and around the Clubhouse, a decision has been taken not to permit seating in the Clubhouse or Courtyard before or after golf and that any food and beverage must be consumed off premise or on the golf courses.
The Drinks Cart/s will be in operation all weekend as per normal Saturday and Sunday arrangements.
Locker Rooms
Both men’s and women’s locker rooms will be open however, in the interests of limiting numbers in the clubhouse, shower facilities will not be available.
Masks, QR Codes and Social Distancing
Members are reminded that Masks are still mandatory both indoors and out. This will include the golf courses and practice facilities. All members and guests must check-in at one of the QR Code stations around the Clubhouse. At all times members and guests must comply with social distancing rules in place.
Please note that these conditions will remain in place from tomorrow until 12.01am Tuesday morning. A further communication will follow to members prior to that time.
Kind regards,
Damon Lonnie – General Manager.
30th June 2021
As members are aware the courses and all facilities are closed due to the Government imposed lockdown. At this stage we anticipate this ending at 12.01am on Saturday. On the assumption that golf can proceed we are still expecting the President’s Trophy to be played on Saturday with the current timesheets applying.
Should the lockdown continue or the level of restrictions around play or clubhouse make it difficult, the decision to proceed with the President’s Trophy will be reviewed and members advised as soon as possible. It should also be noted that should the clubhouse re-open on Saturday, there will be some limitations in terms of the menu offerings available however, we will make every attempt to return to normality.
In light of these challenges, a decision has been taken to postpone the President’s Dinner. We will advise when a new date is set.
As soon as the Club receives further information from the State Government and Golf WA, we will communicate further with members on this topic.
Kind regards,
Damon Lonnie – General Manager.
