The 2023 Charity Day has been a huge success – at first count we have raised $59,000 (to be confirmed) for our charities. A very special thank you to Sheila Klimczyk, our Charity Day Convenor, who did such an amazing job. There are so many moving parts to this day, and Sheila managed it with such calm and precision, we are so grateful for all your hard work.
Thank you to Captain Amanda Lekias and Golf Ops for hosting 176 golfers on two golf courses with 33 different golf clubs participating. Thank you to the stall holders and volunteers – we had 70 volunteers from the men’s and women’s membership to help make the day run smoothly and shows how generous and engaged our LKCC members truly are.
Thank you also to our members who cooked and baked the amazing morning tea for 383 people. To Lyn McKeown our Sponsorship Co-Ordinator who found and managed 40 hole sponsors. To Di Tomlin and Jill Green for hosting a record 112 bridge players. Thank you also to the fabulous food and beverage team who made a delicious lunch for 291 people. The comments we received yesterday were truly amazing.
